ELECTRONIC PROPERTIES OF OXIDE INSULATORS,

Abstract

This Report enumerates the publications which have resulted from this Grant which is concerned with the point defect dependent properties of the alkaline earth oxides. These publications, which are briefly summarized in the report include two general reviews. The remainder are concerned with the nature of trapped-hole centers, doubly-associated centers, peculiarities of ESR spectra of some d3, d5, d8 and d9 impurity ions and typical luminescence phenomena in MgO.
