THE EVALUATION OF MULTI-DIMENSIONAL INTEGRALS,

Abstract

An investigation is made of certain formulae which have been proposed for numerically evaluating multi-dimensional integrals. It is shown that in general these formulae are likely to provide very poor results. It is suggested that the repeated application of one dimensional Gauss quadrature formulae is to be preferred both as regards accuracy and economy. (Author)
