SELF-REPAIR THEORY INVESTIGATION.

Abstract

The report is a study to develop a theory of self-repair in digital nets via fault diagnosis and automatic circuit replacement. The Sequential Prime Implicant Form (SPIF) net representation is utilized as an analytical tool in net failure detection and diagnosis. The report summarizes the basic SPIF concepts, discusses an algorithm for specifying failure monitoring equipment and reviews the details of its implementation in a computer program. (Author)
