DESIGNING MACHINE PARTS FOR STRENGTH. VOLUME I,

Abstract

The book presents information on calculations of the strength of thread couplings, tongue and spline joints, welded joints, springs, shafts, bearings, gear and belt transmissions, parts of piston engines, and turbine and compressor parts. It also outlines the determination of stresses and strains in shafts, plates, shells which is established on the basis of calculation of ductility and application of statistical methods of evaluating strength and reliability.
