APPLICATIONS OF COHERENT OPTICS TO GEOLOGICAL IMAGERY,

Abstract

This report describes some applications of coherent optics to geological imagery. Three problems are discussed: (1) the determination of the two-dimensional power spectrum of water waves, (2) the detection of linear geological features in aerial photographs, and (3) water motion detection and measurement. Experimental results as well as analytical discussions are included. (Author)
