A DEVICE FOR NON-BRAKING DETERMINATION OF ENGINE OUTPUT,
Abstract
The article describes a device to determine the output of an engine without braking it. The device is used on an internal combustion tractor engine with a hydraulic suspension system. The device consists of an attachment with a needle valve mounted on the fuel line in front of the fuel injector to draw off fuel during cylinder cutoff. The mechanical losses in the cylinder are the load of the operating cylinders. The device also uses an attachment with a choke to change oil pressure in the injection line during adjustment of the load which is determined by a pressure gauge mounted on the device. Such an arrangement permits increasing the accuracy of determining engine output at different modes under field conditions.
