UNIVERSAL METAL CONTAINERS.
Abstract
A sturdy metal container 2.1 meters wide, 1.3 meters deep, 2.4 meters high with a load capacity of 1915 kilograms, an empty weight of 585 kilograms and an internal volume of 5.15 cubic meters which can be handled by fork lift, crane or sling and can be stacked up to four deep. It is being used for the transport of packed items by railroad, motor freight or water transport. The container assures protection of the freight in transit for long periods and permits complete mechanization of loading and unloading. (Author)
