LUMINESCENCE OF GLASSES ACTIVATED BY FERRIC IRON,

Abstract

Luminescence spectra of phosphate, borosilicate, and silicate glass containing 0.3-0.5 wt. % .Fe2O3 were studied in the 300-900 nm region. Absorption spectra taken in the 0.2-4.5 micrometer region are also presented. Data are compared for various glasses with manganese versus iron activators. (Author)
