A DEVICE FOR INTRODUCING MEASURING INFORMATION FROM THE CENTRALIZED CONTROL SYSTEM 'ZENIT-2' INTO A COMPUTER,

Abstract

In order to process measuring information from the analog 'ZENIT-2' into an electronic digital computer of the 'Minsk-2' type, a special analog-digital converter is required. The article describes such a device at the output of which a four-decade, binary-decimal 8-4-2-1 code necessary for a digital computer is obtained. The converter device it replaces worked only with the 1000's category, while the present provides for categories of the 1000's, 100's, 10's and units. The device consists of a scaling unit, a computing unit, a decoder, conversion of the pick-up number and the decimal time register number to binary-decimal code. The output of the converter is on punched tape or punched cards. (Author)
