LIGNIN AND ITS USES.

Abstract

The role of lignin in plant structure, its nature, and methods of extraction are discussed. A review of current uses of chemically modified lignin, primarily the lignosulfonates, indicates a variety of applications and a challenge to scientists to find new uses. (Author)
