METHOD OF IMPROVING PICKUP IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINES,

Abstract

The improvement consists in opening the cross sectional area of the nozzle of a turbine compressor at less than its nominal value when the engine is idling, thus keeping the rotor at higher rpm than would normally be the case. (Author)
