CURRENT ISSUES IN CAI.

Abstract

The concepts of individualization and instructional strategies within computer-assisted instruction are reviewed in terms of current research work. Each concept is analyzed in terms of its theoretical frame of reference, the evidence generated to date, and the challenge and potential for future research requirements. The need for a broader empirical basis by which to make a more sophisticated theory of instruction especially appropriate for computer-assisted instruction is emphasized. (Author)
