COMPUTER-PLOTTED STEREOGRAPHIC PROJECTIONS.

Abstract

Stereographic projections for materials having hexagonal symmetry depend on the axial (c/a) ratio. Thus, each material requires its individual set of stereographic projections. The facilities of the NRL Research Computation Center have been used to calculate and plot standard stereographic projections for seven hexagonal close-packed metals with different axial (c/a) ratios. The stereographic projections and the computer program are included in the report. (Author)
