THE IMPACT OF MODERN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY ON THE STRUCTURE OF MILITARY INTELLIGENCE ORGANIZATION AT THE TACTICAL LEVEL

Abstract

The examination of the impact of information systems on the Military Intelligence structure is divided into four parts: (1) the role of intelligence is examined during the emergence of modern warfare; (2) the emergence of automation in the armed services; (3) the inevitable meeting of a demanding master, military intelligence, and an equally demanding mistress, automated systems; (4) conclusions and specific recommendations from a more concise look at the problem in a purely military format.
