Abstract
The examination of the impact of information systems on the Military Intelligence structure is divided into four parts: (1) the role of intelligence is examined during the emergence of modern warfare; (2) the emergence of automation in the armed services; (3) the inevitable meeting of a demanding master, military intelligence, and an equally demanding mistress, automated systems; (4) conclusions and specific recommendations from a more concise look at the problem in a purely military format.
