SOME PROBLEMS OF ADJUSTMENT AND ACCURACY EVALUATION OF THE FUNDAMENTAL GEODETIC NETS OF THE USSR (Nekotorye Voprosy Uravnivaniya i Otsenki Tochnosti Osnovnykh Geodezicheskikh Setei SSSR),

Abstract

The construction of the state geodetic nets of the USSR is based on the principle of transition from the general to the particular. In accordance with this principle, the nets are constructed in succession, starting from the first-order ones and only then passing to the lower orders. At the same time it is assumed that any higher-order net has errors which can be disregarded for the construction of lower-order nets. In the article, first and second order planimetric geodetic nets are discussed.
