FLAT-DIE PRESS FORGING,
Abstract
The book reviews present achievements in flat-die forging on hydraulic presses, and summarizes practices adopted by plants of heavy-machine building as well as results of recent research in this field. Principal forging operations are described with particular attention to the technology of making forgings for disks, stamping blocks, rotors, rolling-mill rolls, etc. Problems connected with the quality of forging are also discussed.
