A COMPUTER COMPLEX FOR SIMULATING COMPLEX PROBLEMS,

Abstract

Several questions are examined on the structure of a computer complex intended: (1) for the digital simulation of processes which develop parallel in time; (2) for controlling an experiment in the operation of physical simulation; and (3) for the mathematical processing of the results of an experiment. In particular, the complex can be used for solving the problems of simulating neuron networks. The algorithm of simulating neuron networks has certain characteristic features which are best carried out by a multicomputer system. The basic requirements on the complex are the following: (1) the possibility of satisfying the algorithm simultaneously with several (up to eight) program branches; (2) the presence of an operational high-capacity memory (20-30 thousand words); (3) the possibility of processing low-bit data.
