APPLICATION OF A SENSITIVE TELEVISION SYSTEM TO THE TRACKING OF ARTIFICIAL SATELLITES,

Abstract

The Crimean Astrophysical Observatory of the USSR Academy of Sciences has used an optical system with a small 'gelios-53' lens with a diameter of 80 mm and a focal length of 200 mm. This system is described in the article. The use of modern television systems increases the sensitivity by more than 100 times in comparison with ordinary photographic equipment. By using such a system, it is easy to seek, track, and record the position of artificial earth satellites up to the 9th stellar magnitude with a lens 80 mm in diameter. (Author)
