THE PRECESSION METHOD IN METALLURGICAL TWIN STUDIES,

Abstract

The principles of detecting and characterizing twins by X-ray diffraction techniques are discussed with particular reference to the precession method. The analogy between twin determination and space group determination is stressed. Specific examples are presented for the particular case of face-centered cubic deformation twins. (Author)
