INTERNAL LAMINAR HEAT TRANSFER TO A GAS WITH TEMPERATURE DEPENDENT PROPERTIES.

Abstract

The results of an analytical and experimental investigation of internal laminar heat transfer to a gas with temperature dependent properties is reported. The analytical investigations obtains numerical solutions for the differential equations of energy, momentum, and continuity describing the laminar flow of an ideal gas between heated parallel plates. The experimental study considers heat transfer to laminar flow of air and helium inside an electrically heated circular tube. (Author)
