Abstract

Selective references are presented on development, application and manufacturing methods of diodes(seniconductors), avalanche, tunnel and varactor diodes; crystal mixers, detectors and rectifiers; photoelectric cells; and transistors. Results of investigations on the effects of nuclear radiation on semiconductor materials, device surface layers, and devices are discussed, as well as junction effects in compound semiconductors, doping, and crystal growth.
