Abstract
The article reviews recent literature on hydroboration with emphasis on hydroboration of alkenes and alkynes. Topics covered in the review include the following areas: General operation of hydroboration; Synthesis of boranes; Directive action of the boron-hydrogen bond during synthesis; Process and stereochemistry of hydroboration; Protonolysis of the organic boranes; Hydroboration of diolefin with alkynes; Thermal reaction of organic boranes and their applications; and Other applications of hydroboration.
