NON-DESTRUCTIVE DETERMINATION OF MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF METALS,

Abstract

This book describes the essential features, properties, methods of determination and opportunities for the practical use of a new hardness number developed by the author and determined by a ball test. Correlations observed in measurements of hardness are explored, along with the relationship between metal hardness and its chief mechanical properties. The method of determining mechanical properties of a material without destroying it described in the book can be applied in quality control. (Author)
