POLITICAL DEVELOPMENT AND CIVIL DISORDER.
Abstract
Civil disobedience, ie., demonstrations and riots, and more serious political disruption, eg., successful and attempted coups, are phenomena caused by an interaction of a number of political, cultural and economic forces. Regression analysis is employed to relate population and press freedom to these two dependent variables.
