DETERMINATION OF THE PERMEABILITY TO ODORS OF POLYMERIC PACKAGING MATERIALS,

Abstract

Experiments show aluminum foil to be the only complete protection against penetration by aromatic substances commonly found in fruits and vegetables. A double film of polyethylene and cellophane with a good adhesive is the next best. Other polyethylene based materials are unsatisfactory. Numerical results are given. (Author)
