Abstract

These papers discuss problems of lightning and static electricity as they pertain to aerospace vehicles. Research to solve these problems conducted by numerous US and foreign agencies, both governmental and industrial, is discussed. The sessions covered include fluids and fuels, grounding and bonding techniques, survivability of nonconductive materials in a lightning environment, and control of static electricity effects on nonconductive materials.
