Nanosecond Radar-Oversize Waveguide System (Narows)

Abstract

The report summarizes the results of a study to determine the optimum configurations for the components of a feed system for a high-power nanosecond-pulse high-resolution S-Band radar system. The system employs 8.00 X 5.36 inch oversize rectangular waveguide. Developmental model system components including power combiners, load switches, straight waveguides, H-plane, bends, horn radiators, and horn radomes are described. The breadboard model system consisting of duplexers rotary joints and sampling couplers is also described.
