CHARACTERISTICS OF A LUMPED CIRCUIT HYBRID RING IN THE VHF REGION,

Abstract

A resulting hybrid ring was designed for 50 ohm input and output impedances; i.e., each section was designed for either 90 or 270 degree phase angle at the center frequency at an impedance of 70 ohms. This device will give satisfactory operation over a 30% band of frequencies. The limiting factor in the construction of such a device is the ability to produce satisfactory inductors and capacitors at the higher frequencies. (Author)
