FLOW PAST A PLATE SITUATED NEAR A SOLID GROUND-PLANE.

Abstract

The ground effect on a slender wing operating at various angles of attack in a flow of an ideal incompressible fluid is discussed. The problem is reduced to flow past two profiles (the primary and image systems) situated symmetrically with respect to the ground. A solution is obtained by the method of vortex sheets. (Author)
