HOW TO RIG A SINGLE-TRANSISTOR RECEIVER FOR BETTER SOUND,

Abstract

This paper introduces a full wave rectifier circuit which may enable a single-transistor receiver to increase its sound volume substantially. Some details are given with regard to the layout of the circuit and its working principles. This paper also gives suggestions on the ways and means to adjust the radio receiver according to actual receiving conditions. According to this paper, a radio receiver of this type is able to receive broadcasts within 10 - 15 km of the broadcasting station without using any antenna or ground wire. Three technical drawings are given.
