CAUSES OF NONUNIFORM DISTRIBUTION OF CHROMIUM IN RUBY,

Abstract

The article deals with the cause of unequal distribution of chromium in crystals of ruby grown by the Verneuil method. It is established that the basic cause is the unequal burning out of the chromium from the charge in passing it through a flame. (Author)
