THE PRODUCTION OF LIQUID HYDROGEN,

Abstract

The production of liquid hydrogen, its liquefaction and its ortho-para-conversions, as well as specific features involved in the storage and transportation of this material are covered in detail in this report compiled from recent Soviet and other publications. The report deals specifically with the structural materials used in the fabrication of industrial installations, pumping and storage facilities. Cryogenic thermal insulation is covered, as are the rules of safety in connection with the handling of liquid hydrogen. A list of references, containing 170 entries, is provided. (Author)
