DEVICE FOR AUTOMATIC CONTROL OF A SUPERSONIC WIND TUNNEL,
Abstract
A device is decribed for the automatic control of a supersonic wind tunnel, consisting of pressure regulators in the mixing chambers and ejectors, a programming mechanism with a drive for moving the line of direction of the diffuser, a gage for measuring the pressure of the unperturbed current programming mechanisms for conducting the experiment, recorders to register the measured parameters of the studied object, and a device for controlling the pressure in the mixing chamber and in the ejectors at given starting and operating pressure levels before the operation of the wind tunnel. To increase reliability and measurement accuracy while conducting an experiment, it is equipped with two pneumoelectric relays and an electromagnetic slide valve with two outlets. One of these outlets is connected with the intake of the mixing chamber's pressure regulator, and to the second outlet is connected the intake of the gage for measuring pressure the undisturbed current; the intake of the electromagnetic slide valve is connected with the adjustment controller of the mixing-chamber and ejector pressure regulators.
