JET-ENGINE NOISE SUPPRESSOR,

Abstract

A brief description is given of a jet engine noise suppressor, which consists of a collector with nozzles and a feed line. To increase the noise suppression efficiency and reduce the engine thrust loss at the cruising regime, the collector nozzles for injecting secondary air jets or gas into the exhaust flow are mounted at the exhaust nozzle perimeter and are oriented in such a way that the direction of the secondary jets is perpendicular to the exhaust nozzle.
