EXPERIMENTATION AND ANALYSIS OF SITING CRITERIA.
Abstract
The purpose of the project was to determine, through test and analysis, siting criteria for new radar beacon sites and to provide methods of eliminating or reducing reflected radar beacon replies at existing field sites. This report conveys (1) the precautions dictated by theory to be observed in siting a new radar beacon site, and (2) various methods of controlling reflecting surfaces to reduce the range of reflected radar beacon signals.
