SYNTHESIS OF THE ANTIOXIDATION ADDITIVE INKhP-21,

Abstract

INKhP-21 antioxidation additive was synthesized by condensation of alkylphenols with formaldehyde in the presence of ammonia. The purpose was to prepare an antioxidation additive containing phosphorus, sulfur, and nitrogen. The condensation involved heating a suitable mixture of components for 30-40 min at 90C. The INKhP-21 additive contains: 2.2-3.0% P, 3.0-3.6% S, and 2.0-3.0% N. Its ash content is 15-18 percent. It was found that 1 percent of INKhP-21 significantly improves anticorrosion and antioxidation properties of D-11 diesel oil. (Author)
