A NEW dc TO dc CONVERTER DESIGN PHILOSOPHY.

Abstract

The report discusses a modular design technique for converters in the kilowatt class which give improvements in weight and efficiency. A quarter kilowatt dc to dc converter so constructed has an efficiency of 95% and a weight of 2 kg. 1% regulation is possible at a slightly reduced efficiency. The converter can have redundancy features and load matching capability. Control circuitry is included in the basic converter design. (Author)
