EFFECT OF ELECTRON TEMPERATURE ON CARBON DIOXIDE LASER LEVEL POPULATION RATES.
Abstract
Estimates of the population rate of carbon dioxide and nitrogen vibration levels have been made as a function of electron temperature using Schulz's and Boness's cross section data. The population rate for carbon dioxide is greater than that of nitrogen for an electron temperature of 0.4 to 8 electron volts, peaking at about 0.9 electron volts. (Author)
