DIE STAMPING OF PARTS FROM LIQUID BRASS ON FRICTION DIES,

Abstract

Manufacture of three different brass objects by liquid brass die stamping techniques is described. The brass was smelted in an induction furnace, and friction die stamps were used at a nominal pressure. Schematics of the three types of die stamps are presented. The quality of the finished product was determined as a function of the die temperature and die lubricating agent. (Author)
