DETERMINATION OF OPERATING TEMPERATURE OF ELECTROLUMINESCENT CELLS,

Abstract

The average temperature of the luminescence layer of an electroluminescent cell was measured, and it was found that the temperature increase in the layer is proportional to the power absorbed by the cell. The local temperature of the emission centers in an electroluminophor did not exceed the average temperature of the cell. A small shift, 10 to the -5th power eV/V, of the electroluminescence emission band towards the longer wavelength in comparison with photoluminescence was found. (Author)
