INSTALLATION FOR PREPARING A MIXTURE OF POTASSIUM NITRATE WITH A LIQUID FUEL SUCH AS IGDANIT,
Abstract
An Author Certificate has been issued for equipment designed for mixing potassium nitrate with a liquid fuel such as igdanit. The equipment consists of a bottom-opening hopper, a pug mill mixer and an atomizer, a liquid-component proportioning device, and an electric motor with a drive. The distinguishing feature of the equipment is that to improve the quality of the end product, the hopper bottom is designed so as to be conical in shape, rotating, and with a regulating slot along the periphery which controls the milled potassium nitrate fraction; on the inner surface of the hopper walls and bottom are mounted pins for breaking up potassium nitrate lumps.
