EVALUATION OF KIEFER'S VARIANCE BOUND IN A NON REGULAR CASE.

Abstract

For a one-sided distribution defined by the density f(x-theta) = ((x-theta)exponent(c-1))L(x-theta)(x>theta) (f(x-theta) = zero, x<theta), where L(x-theta) varies slowly at x=theta, we estimate the unknown location parameter theta by means of n independent observations. The estimate is unbiased.
