DENSITY MATRIX APPROACH TO QUANTUM CHEMISTRY.

Abstract

This report is a very brief general survey of three areas in which density matrix methods are used in research on the electronic structure of atoms and molecules: Analysis of wavefunctions; construction of better wavefunctions; and attempts to bypass the wavefunction by studying the N-representability problem. All new results are being published in journal articles. (Author)
