AIRBORNE MEASUREMENTS OF ATMOSPHERIC ANOMALIES

Abstract

The purposes of the investigation were: (1) To define the hazards (anomalies) of the atmosphere with respect to their bearing on tracking problems; (2) define tracking accuracies at lower limits (elevation angles zero to 5 degrees); (3) assess currently employed refraction correction techniques.
