METHOD FOR INCREASING THE SERVICE LIFE OF PARTS SUBJECTED TO CAVITATION WEAR,

Abstract

A method is described for increasing the service life of parts subjected to cavitation wear, for example in pumps and water turbines. A thin layer (up to 0.05 mm) is removed from the surface of the part, thereby reducing susceptibility to cavitation wear. (Author)
