PHOTOIONIZATION WITH ATOMIC BEAMS: I. ZINC ATOMS BETWEEN 247 AND 1242 A. II. CADMIUM ATOMS BETWEEN 8.99 AND 83 eV AND ZINC ATOMS BETWEEN 27.35 AND 65eV,

Abstract

The wavelength dependences of the photoionization cross sections of zinc atoms have been measured with a modulated atomic beam and pulsed, dispersed vacuum-ultraviolet radiation. The photoions were mass analyzed, counted, and digitally demodulated. The energy dependences of the photoionization cross sections to produce Cd(+), Cd(++), and Zn(++) have been measured with modulated atomic beams and pulsed, dispersed vacuum-ultraviolet radiation.
