CORRELATION BETWEEN GEOMAGNETIC MICROPULSATIONS AND IONOSPHERIC DOPPLER CHANGES.

Abstract

Observations of geomagnetic micropulsations, Doppler frequency variations and infrasonic activity were conducted during the summer of 1968. Spectral and polarization analyses of a typical event in which there was high correlation between Doppler variations and geomagnetic micropulsations are reported. No infrasonic activity associated was found, leading to the conclusion that this type of association has a hydromagnetic origin. (Author)
