GROUND TEMPERATURE UNDER NATURAL AND MAN-MADE RESERVOIRS IN THE IGARKA REGION,

Abstract

The author proposes a new terminology for identifying swamp types. She shows how different swamp types may be identified from aerial photographs. Different tones, shapes, and structure of picture correspond to types of vegetation cover. Aerial photography alone can determine patterns of water flow and swamp formation. It may aid in showing which parts are to be explored from the ground to better advantage. (Author)
