PHYSICOCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF REFRACTORY OXYGEN COMPOUNDS OF RARE EARTH ELEMENTS,

Abstract

The chromites and monoaluminates of the majority of the rare earth elements were synthesized and certain of their properties were studied, i.e., density, melting temperature, chemical stability, etc. It was shown that all of the synthesized compounds are refractory and that in comparison with the sesquioxides they possess a significant stability to boiling water and to many chemical reagents.
