EFFECT OF THE CHEMICAL STRUCTURE OF HYDROCARBONS ON THEIR THERMAL OXIDATION STABILITY,

Abstract

A study was made of the thermal oxidation stability of 17 individual hydrocarbons boiling in the range 138.5-287C; it included a series of n-paraffins, monocyclic six-member cyclanes, bicyclic condensed and uncondensed naphthenes, tricyclic condensed naphthenes, and monocyclic aromatic hydrocarbons. A dependence of reactivity of the studied hydrocarbons on their chemical structure in thermal oxidation processes was demonstrated. (Author)
